A semester abroad at San Diego State University) was one of the best decisions I have ever made. From forming meaningful connections with American peers to exploring the vibrant culture of California and beyond, my time at SDSU was truly exceptional.

Living with students from the United States provided a unique cultural exchange. This experience allowed me to gain insights into American life, traditions, and perspectives, fostering a deeper understanding of the local culture. Building friendships during this time was incredibly rewarding, as I had the chance to establish connections that I believe will endure long after my semester abroad.

SDSU had a whole line-up of activities that went beyond lectures. The university organized diverse free programs, ranging from casino nights to silent roller disco events. These activities really helped with getting to know people and make friends.

Additionally, the on-campus gym and yoga classes provided an opportunity for maintaining physical health, too. Participating in yoga classes was also a really fun way of meeting people.

One of the highlights of my semester was the chance to explore various destinations. During spring break, me and some friends traveled to Cancun, Mexico, where we went clubbing and visited cultural sites like the renowned pyramids of Chichen Itza. This experience was not only culturally enriching but also humbling, as I stood before one of the Seven Wonders of the World.Additionally, I visited iconic places such as Disneyland in Los Angeles, and cities like Baltimore, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and Monterey which was an amazing experience. I also could not miss the opportunity to go to Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs which is only about a 3-hour drive away from San Diego.

However, San Diego itself offered a lot of attractions. The city's beautiful beaches, sunset cliffs, and the opportunity to take surf classes allowed me to experience the coastal lifestyle.

Looking back, my time at SDSU was a mix of learning, making friends and having unforgettable experiences. Beyond the credits earned, I had the chance to establish lasting friendships and make memories that will stay with me.
