Scholarships
Funding of studies abroad or semesters abroad are also possible through scholarships. Scholarships are a great alternative for students who are not eligible for Auslands-BAföG and cannot take out a student loan. Since scholarships for studies abroad do not have to be refunded, they are quite popular for students. The criteria for awarding scholarships vary greatly; while academic achievement is often taken into the selection procedure, this is not always the case and mostly not the sole determining factor. Each organization, association and foundation awards their scholarships in different ways, so we recommend contacting them directly for further information.
