The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is perfect for a semester abroad. Students from over 50 different nationalities travel to Barcelona every year to take one or two semesters abroad at UAB.
Study abroad students can take part in one of the three programs:
The Pre-established Study Abroad Program; only offered to international students who can combine lessons in English with Spanish Language Lessons. The Selected Courses Study Abroad Program where international students integrate with Spanish students in lessons taught in Spanish, Catalan or English.
GAP Year Program; for students who have finished their secondary school studies and want to have a first experience at the university with other international students having lessons in English.

EU citizens do not need a visa to study in Spain.Why should you come and study with us?
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is a good alternative for students who want to have an affordable international experience . That is why many students also take advantage to stay in Barcelona for two semesters abroad. You can also use this time to do an internship in non-profit or cultural organizations alongside your studies and thus get to know the country and its people even better.Study opportunities:
Pre-Established Program: Business, Economics & Politics, Art & architecture, Mediterranean Studies, Spanish Language.Selected Courses Program: Biosciences, Sciences, Communication Studies, Education, Political Science and Sociology, Law, Economics and Business Studies, Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Psychology, Translation and Interpreting, Tourism & Hotel Management.
GAP Year Program: Urbanism, Architecture, Politics and Sociology, Cinema, Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Spanish Language, Catalan Language.
There is a study week during the semester, during which students can revise for exams for one week in January and for two weeks in June.
Scholarship possibilities for international students:
There are no scholarships for international study abroad students.Internships:
There are no jobs available on campus, but there is an office on campus to help students find an internship should they wish to do one.Application Deadline:

Application requirements:
• Language certificate English: e.g. TOEFL iBT, DAAD certificate (B2)• Language certificate Spanish/Catalan: Only if you would like to take classes in Spanish/Catalan!
• Current transcript in English including stamp and signature by home institution
• Master students: English bachelor's certificate and diploma in English. Transcript should include all courses taken. Both documents must be uploaded including stamp and signature by home institution
• Copy of passport or ID card
• Digital picture of you / passport photo (JPG only, max. 300 KB)
• Choice of courses – you can select the courses in the external application platform. Please add at least 2 alternative courses as well.
Please note, that you must provide all documents (except for the profile picture) as PDF documents.
Orientation:
Orientation is mandatory for all international students and generally takes place around one weekprior semester start (typically in September and in January).

UAB offers new Vocational Training programmes in English
As the first university in Spain, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is launching a Higher Vocational Training Qualification in International Trade in English. The program is designed to prepare students to plan and manage the introduction and shipment of goods and import/export processes internationally. In order to provide students with high-quality theoretical and practical training, the two-year program is complemented by the applied study of foreign languages and a first-class internship program, which offers students in this program great opportunities for their future careers.

Only a couple of minutes from the ICMS campus in Manly you can watch stunning sunsets over Sydney. At the Fairfex lookout students spend a great time together with their international friends, eating pizza and listening to music while watching the Sydney harbour. You may even see one of the whales passing by the coast.
