Visa Information:
The New Zealand Government requires all international students to have a valid study visa for the period of enrolment at AUT. Once students have paid the tuition fees and received the receipt (Summary of Deposit), they can apply for a visa.In most cases, students need a Fee Paying Student Visa and the application can be done online.
The University doesn't recommend European students to apply earlier than 3 months as some documents may expire (ie. medicals, police reports, etc.)

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is providing accommodation scholarships to financially support new to AUT and new to programme international students for Semester 1, 2024 in their journey to becoming great graduates of AUT.
The scholarship guarantees accommodation at AUT’s Te Āhuru Mayoral Drive Student Accommodation, located in the heart of Auckland city, just a minute’s walk from AUT City Campus, offering quality, modern, single studio-style living.
AUT International Scholarships for different Faculties
Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and their different Faculties provide scholarships to recognise and support international students as they begin their journey towards becoming great graduates of AUT. The following faculties offer scholarship options: Business, Economics and Law; Culture and Society; Design and Creative Technologies; Health and Environmental Sciences
Internships:
AUT offers a work integrated learning course which is designed to help you engage with New Zealand’s unique multiculturalism, while gaining valuable exposure to a business, non-profit or research organisation relevant to your chosen field of study by doing an internship. Your internship is complemented by academic assignments, awarding you with a grade and credits toward your degree, while enjoying a level of immersion into New Zealand life that few international students get to experience. The university partners with a range of comapnies around Auckland. Your placement manager will help you find an organisation and how to proceed with your application.Application Deadline:

Orientation takes place the week before course starts and is manditory for international students. Students will either join the undergraduate or postgraduate orientation, depending on their programm, together with all new students starting that semester. Housing On-Campus:
NZ$ 5,947 - 9,060 per semester - AUT’s offers different housing options just a few minutes walk away from all three campus, which are garantueed for international students as long as the application is handed in on time.Student accommodation is modern, fully furnished, including Wi-Fi, secure with a 24 hours security service and offering a social community. There are different oppotions depending on your preferences, from single apartements to shared flats.
Housing Off-Campus:
NZ$ 350 a week Auckland has many different housing options to suit your lifestyle, from city apartments to family homes with gardens. Housing in Auckland can be expensive, but the cost depends on which suburb you choose to live in.Sharing a house, flat or apartment with others could be a good option for you – it’s normally cheaper than living alone and it can be a great way to make friends and socialise.
When you choose where to live, you should also consider how far your house is from public transport, your AUT campus, shops and cafés, or the beach.

Our students love the Fairfax Lookout on the North Head!
Only a couple of minutes from the ICMS campus in Manly you can watch stunning sunsets over Sydney. At the Fairfex lookout students spend a great time together with their international friends, eating pizza and listening to music while watching the Sydney harbour. You may even see one of the whales passing by the coast.
