UCSC offers no scholarships for international students.Internships:
An internship opportunity is available to our international Study Abroad students who wish to undertake a professional experience in a culturally diverse environment as part of their study abroad academic experience.Our experiential learning programme provides each student intern with an integrated academic and professional learning experience, which can be done during the study abroad term or immediately following it:
Part-time: during the academic semester, in combination with academic courses
Full-time: After completion of a semester of study OR a Winter short-term programme
Duration of internship placements: min 2 months to up to 6 months
Internship requests for a duration of less than 2 months will assessed on a case by case basis.
Language
Based on the student’s language capabilities, the internship may be available English or in Italian, while the content of the course and webinars will be delivered in English. Although proficiency in Italian is not required, we do require that students interested in a placement have some prior knowledge of Italian and therefore recommend enrolling in one of our Italian language courses if the student has had no prior Italian language study.

• A passport size picture• The scanned version of your passport or other ID documents
• The transcript of records
• Special need form (download it from the Enrolment portal and fill it, then upload it)
• Applicants applying for UCSC coursework in English, if non-native speakers, must give evidence of their language proficiency of a minimum B2 level or equivalent (ex. TOEFL Ibt 79, IELTS 6, First Certificate of English, Cambridge ESOL or other certification like DAAD certificate)
• Applicants applying for UCSC coursework in Italian are required to have a good knowledge of the language (B2 level is recommended) and must provide an Italian Language Proficiency Report. The form can be downloaded into the application

Two different orientation sessions (3 days each) are available, depending on whether or not you are taking the Intensive Italian language course before the start of the semester. Orientation is not mandatory for international students but highly recommended.Examperiod:

Study abroad students are not allowed to work on campus while studying at UCSCIf the students stay longer than one year, EU nationals can work in Italy with no restrictions, non-EU nationals with a permit of stay for study purposes can work max 20 hours per week.

How to get to university:
The connections from Malpensa Airport to Milan City Centre are the following:- MALPENSA EXPRESS train to Cadorna Station: every 30 minutes, single ride ticket € 13.00 on average
- MALPENSA EXPRESS train to Centrale Station: every 30 minutes, single ride ticket € 13.00 on average
From within city/town to institution:
Underground system: Red line, stop at Cadorna Station, 10-minute walk from campus central building (Gemelli Building). Green line, stop at S.Ambrogio Station, 5-minute walk to campus. Additional information will be provided by e-mail. Single ride ticket €2.00
Should students decide to commute by taxi from Malpensa International Airport to Milan City Centre the cost will be around 110 €.
Housing On-Campus:
n/a - We do offer accommodation options in the campus of Rome and Piacenza for full degree students only. Not in Milan.Housing Off-Campus:
depending on type of room Due to the pandemic, most of the third party contracts used for housing placements have been suspended this past year. It will take several additional months for Cattolica/MIL Service to rebuild its housing capacity. Cattolica may thus not be able to guarantee housing for students when expected as per the mobility agreements in place.UCSC offers some accommodation options via a third-party provider, MIL Service. Spaces available for the 2021 Fall semester are very limited.
Type of housing provided: Off-campus shared apartment or single dorm room w/bathroom. Depending on local guidelines, double rooms may only be rented as single rooms, thus reducing overall placement capacity.
