University Description:
UniSC is an Australian public university. UniSC’s main campus is located in Sippy Downs on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Set in the sunny state of Queensland on Australia’s east coast, the Sunshine Coast is a destination of endless beaches, expansive hinterlands and a warm climate, and a relaxed and friendly community. Approximately 328,000 people call the Sunshine Coast their home, making it the third most populous region in Queensland. Located only a short one-hour drive north of the state’s capital, Brisbane, it is home to the architecturally diverse UniSC Sunshine Coast campus – a campus renowned for its environmentally sustainable approach.
The campus sits on a 100-hectare designated wildlife reserve, which provides sanctuary to native Australian wildlife, including the resident Eastern Grey Kangaroos, reptiles, and birds.

Scholarship possibilities for international students:
Scholarships in 2021 & 2022!The Start Online & Save (SOS) Scholarship allows international students to commence their studies online from offshore with a 50% tuition fee reduction until the end of 2022, provided they remain outside Australia.
The International Student Outlook (ISO) Scholarship offers a tuition fee reduction of 15% and is available to onshore international students for all UniSC programs commencing in 2021 and 2022 across all UniSC Queensland campuses.
Internships:
If you are studying a full award degree at UniSC, some programs have opportunities to participate in paid and unpaid experiences. Please refer to Work Integrated Learning (WIL).Please note, UniSC does not offer a stand allow internship program.

Orientation:
Orientation at UniSC is held during the week before the start of each semester, and is a mixture of workshops to help you settle in to your studies and fun activities where you can meet other students and explore the local area.During Orientation, you can familiarise yourself with the campus, student support services, academic expectations and requirements. These events are a great way to make new friends and begin your Australian study experience.
The academic support services include workshops on topics such as assignment writing, library tutorials and new semester study essentials.
Each UniSC location has its own Orientation which often includes live music, entertainment, information about UniSC’s sporting teams and interest groups and other activities.
Students commencing in a session have their own, smaller Orientations.

International Student Scholarship:
The International Student Scholarship is a 15% tuition fee reduction offered to commencing international students in 2025.

UniCentral, Varsity Apartments and The Village all offer modern self-contained accommodation in resort-style complexes and are all linked by a pathway to the campus, which is an easy three-minute walk away.
You can book directly through the private accommodation providers’ websites. Once you have signed a lease, it can be difficult and expensive to change your accommodation, so it is important you understand the terms and conditions of your lease arrangement.

UNESCO declares the Sunshine Coast as a Biosphere Reserve – making the Queensland Biosphere Cluster One of a Kind
After its nomination in 2019, UNESCO has recognised the Sunshine Coast as a biosphere in June 2022. Our students love the Fairfax Lookout on the North Head!
Only a couple of minutes from the ICMS campus in Manly you can watch stunning sunsets over Sydney. At the Fairfex lookout students spend a great time together with their international friends, eating pizza and listening to music while watching the Sydney harbour. You may even see one of the whales passing by the coast.
